Phoenix X|aminer
Phoenix X|aminer is an easy-to-use entry-level microfocus X-ray inspection system designed for high-resolution inspection of electronic assemblies, components and PCBAs. It combines high-resolution 2D X-ray technology with an optional 3D Computed Tomography capability in one compact system.
Phoenix X|aminer is designed for the specific requirements of high-resolution inspection of electronic assemblies, components and PCBAs. It is an ideal entry-level non-destructive testing system for process and quality control, helping manufacturers maintain productivity, inspection reliability and product quality.
The system is equipped with an open microfocus X-ray tube with 160 kV / 20 W, providing sufficient penetration even for highly absorbing electronic components. In combination with the new DXR S85 flat panel detector with CsI scintillator, the system delivers improved signal-to-noise ratio, sharpness and live imaging performance.
The DXR S85 detector offers 85 µm pixel resolution, a 130 × 130 mm active area and detail detectability down to 0.5 µm, making Phoenix X|aminer suitable for demanding failure analysis and detailed electronics inspection.
The patented OVHM technology – Oblique View at Highest Magnification enables oblique views up to 70° and full 0–360° rotation while maintaining high geometric magnification. This provides excellent visibility of structures that cannot be sufficiently evaluated in a standard top-down view.
For 2D inspection, Phoenix X|act provides powerful image processing and allows both manual and fully automated X-ray inspection. The software supports CAD-based programming, live CAD data overlay, automated sample maps, teach-in programming and automatic storage of inspection results and images.
Optional Flash! Electronics automatically optimizes digital radiography for electronics applications. It provides consistent image quality, full visibility across different material densities and operator-independent image processing without continuous manual adjustment.
For advanced inspection and 3D analysis of smaller electronic components, Phoenix X|aminer can be equipped with an optional 3D CT solution based on Phoenix Datos|x. The software controls CT acquisition, volume reconstruction and visualization in one integrated environment.
